VANS Presents The HIC Pro

HIC Pro, the Official Qualifier of the Vans Tripple Crown of Surfing,
is a QS3,000 rated event that features a 112-man field comprised largely of Hawaii athletes. Held from October 27 through November 9, the competition runs on the three biggest and best days, showcasing the depth of local talent and incredible surf Hawaii has to offer. Winter means giant waves on Oahu’s North Shore, this annual event marks the global shift of the surfing world’s attention to the North Shore of Oahu for the famed winter season.

As one of the last qualifying events of the 2015 World Surf League Tour, athletes are on the hunt for critical ratings points to secure their slot in next year’s Championship Tour, as well as qualify for a place in the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing - the most prestigious surfing series in the world. Surfers will be tested both mentally and physically as they go head to head with one of the most complex waves on earth. The HIC Pro is a chance for young aspirants as well as seasoned professionals to fine tune their game and prove themselves on the world stage in hopes of earning a place in surfing history.
